TasMen – Invitation to Affinity Group Leader Training - skills opportunity!
Hi Men,
TMG2026 is fast approaching and the development of our Affinity Group Leaders (AGL) Training sessions is underway. The sessions will be facilitated by Alex (Al) Head and Cole Bradshaw, with Ross Adams stepping into the AGL Coordinator role.
We’re seeking expressions of interest from men interested in learning/refreshing some invaluable skills that benefit you, and all those you interact with, for life. Ideally, you'll get the opportunity to practice these skills as a TMG Affinity Group Leader – a role that could potentially be life changing for you or for the men you form an ‘affinity’ with at a Gathering.
A few words from Al…
In 2017, I attended my first TMG. It was in the middle of a very challenging period of life and I was on shaky ground, others in our group had big things going on too. Our affinity group leader held space for our group with such gentleness and presence. He allowed silence and, when the time felt right (and it was), he asked questions that helped me move toward the emotion, the discomfort I was feeling, and allowed me to open up to myself and to the group. Our group held one another and formed deep bonds – some men from that affinity group remain some of my closest friends.
I’m so grateful for that experience and the leadership of our AGL, it was genuinely a life changing experience for me.
